Ride the Road
A Journey in Tahoe
The Tahoe region is a magnetic area in the Sierra that has been known as one of the most marvelous sights to be seen and experienced in the world for over 200 years. Cycling through the Sierras is a visually sensorial journey where emerald waters, towering granite hill climbs and winding bike paths lead to the best coffee shops, views, and friends. Making the right route connections during your ride can turn the grin factor to maximum.
Last week we introduced the Boca Roubaix as the first area route that incorporates a variety of terrain to create an incredible 45 mile ride right from the heart of Truckee. This ride includes the Truckee River, remote reservoir areas, historical landmarks and the off chance of seeing a herd of sheep pass through.
Stay tuned for the next chapter of the Pacos Route Series as we explore local climbing challenges linking together hills like a pendulum of time and tension. Get ready to climb as many vertical feet as possible yet never stretching over 10 miles away from the heart of downtown Truckee.
